At Tatum Hills Farm we use the milk from our happy goats to handcraft soap that is mild and luscious. We share the milk with our goat kids and do not separate them from their mums. Our goats enjoy lots of space and cuddles.
We now also developing a number of milk-free recipes, which will be available from late July 2018.
Our soap is:
•cruelty free (not tested on animals)
•animal friendly (the milk and occasional eggs we use in it are from happy well looked after animals on our farm )
•made with all natural ingredients sourced locally as much as possible
•any other ingredients are sustainably sourced and organic whenever possible
•Packaged using Australian 100% recycled paper
Our soap contains sodium hydroxide.
Why sodium hydroxide?
Sodium hydroxide is an essential ingredient required for making soap from scratch.
When sodium hydroxide is added to a fat (oil for us) in the presence of a liquid (milk or water for us) it makes soap through a process called saponification. Our soap recipes are carefully calculated and cured to ensure the sodium hydroxide is fully reacted with the oils , leaving you with a mild soap bar.
You can use our soap for school or other fundraisers.
